El Producto Interno Bruto
(PIB) de Coahuila en 2014 representó el 3.4% con respecto al total
nacional y en comparación con el año anterior tuvo una variación en valores
constantes de 3.73%.
Para el cuarto trimestre de 2015,
Coahuila registró un incremento en su índice de actividad económica de 4.1% con
respecto al mismo periodo del año anterior. Las
actividades primarias, secundarias y terciarias registraron una
variación anual positiva de 1.2, 5.5 y 2.7% respectivamente; siendo las
secundarias las que más contribuyeron en el comportamiento de la entidad.
Según cifras del INEGI, al mes de
abril de 2016, Ciudad Acuña, Torreón y Monclova registraron una tasa de
inflación anual de 1.92, 1.92 y 2.18%, respectivamente. Todos por debajo de la
inflación a nivel nacional (2.54%).

Al cuarto trimestre de 2015, la
Población Económicamente Activa (PEA) ascendió a 1, 313,758 personas, lo que
representó el 60.9% de la población en edad de trabajar. Del total de la PEA,
el 95.8% está ocupada y el 4.2% desocupada.
Entre las principales actividades
se encuentran: fabricación de maquinaria y equipo (12.0%); comercio (11.3%);
servicios inmobiliarios y de alquiler de bienes muebles e intangibles (10.7%);
industrias mecánicas básicas y fabricación de productos metálicos (9.1%); y, transportes,
correos y almacenamiento (6.7%). Juntas representan el 59.8% del PIB estatal.
Coahuila es el tercer estado con
mayor PIB per cápita en 2015, equivalente a 202 mil pesos, también es el tercer
estado más exportador del país, equivalente al 10% del valor total nacional,
sus valores alcanzan cerca de los 35 mil millones de dólares. Esto se debe a la
alta inversión directa tanto nacional como extranjera, la capacidad de
exportación, y la generación de nuevas fuentes de trabajo, las cuales han
potenciado las más altas perspectivas de crecimiento económico.
Sin embargo, a Junio de 2015,
Coahuila tenía el mayor nivel de endeudamiento respecto al PIB estatal, con una
deuda por habitante de 12 mil 292 pesos.

The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Coahuila in 2014 represented 3.4% of
the total in a national scale and compared to the previous year, it had a
variation of 3.73%.
In the fourth quarter of 2015, Coahuila registered an increase of 4.1%
in its economic activity index, in the same period of the previous year.
Primary, secondary and tertiary activities registered a positive anual
variation of 1.2, 5.5 and 2.7% respectively; being the secondary ones that
contributed the most in the entity.
According to INEGI, as of April 2016, Ciudad Acuña, Torreón and Monclova
registered an anual inflation rate of 1.92, 1.92 and 2.18% respectively. All
below the inflation at a national level (2.54%).
According to the National Statistical Directory of Economic Units, this federal entity has 104,816 Economic
Units, which represents 2.1% of the total in our country. In the fourth quarter
of 2015, the Economically Active Population ascended to 1,313,758 people,
representing 60.9% of the working-age population. Of the total PAE, 95.8% are
employed and 4.2% are unemployed.
Among the main activities are: the manufacture of machinery and
equipment (12.0%); commerce (11.3%); real estate services and rental of movable
and intangible goods (10.7%); basic mechanical industries and manufacture of
metal products (9.1%); and, transport, mails and storage (6.7%). Together they
represent 59.8% of the state GDP.
Coahuila is the third state with the highest GDP per capita in 2015,
equivalent to 202,000 pesos. It is also the country's third exporting state,
equivalent to 10% of the total national value, and its values reach about 35
billion dollars. This is due to the high internal and external investment, the
export capacity and the generation of new sources of work, which have promoted
the greater prospects of economic growth.
However, as of June 2015, Coahuila had the highest level of indebtedness
to the state's GDP, with a per capita debt of 12,292 pesos.
